We open every CV. Then we tell you what it actually says.
Superyacht hiring still runs on cover emails and gut feel. We test every claim against the evidence behind it: dated contracts, certificate expiries, right to work. Then we hand you a short list with the reasoning attached. If a candidate is not right, you will know why.
The cover email is a claim. The CV is the evidence.
Across our first four intake rounds, roughly half of every rejection came from something the covering email said that the CV did not support. So nothing here is ever scored from an email. We open the attachment every time, including the applications that are only a line long, which have twice turned out to be the strongest candidate in the batch.
Claims are tested, not collected
“Extensive tender experience” becomes three weeks of daywork once the contracts are read. Every candidate leaves our process marked clean, overstated, contradicted or unverifiable.
Sea time is computed, not estimated
Verified months come from dated contracts, never from “years in the industry”, a figure that inflates by two to five times. Engagements under four weeks are logged as daywork.
Every name comes with a reason
You get the case for each shortlisted candidate and the reservation against them, in plain language. No score you cannot interrogate, no black box.
From application to shortlist
The same route runs for every applicant, whether they arrive through this site, a job board or a forwarded introduction.
What we weight, and by how much
A candidate carries one agency wide score before any specific role is considered, so we know who is placeable at all. It is deliberately blunt about the things that stop a placement dead. A lapsed Schengen allowance moves a candidate further than a missing ticket does.
Credibility does not deduct points. It caps them: an overstated CV cannot reach band A, a contradicted one cannot leave band D, and an unverifiable one gets no score until we have asked the question.
What each side gets
Tell us about the boat, not just the job title: programme, rotation, crew size, owner style and what has not worked before. We come back with a short list, each name carrying its case, its reservation and its verified sea time. During beta every brief is handled personally.
Register once, properly. A structured profile means your contracts, tickets and visas are read as evidence rather than skimmed as keywords, which is what puts a short, quiet application in front of a captain instead of into the pile.

Get in touch
Whether you are crewing up for a season, replacing someone mid-programme, or looking for your next boat, we would like to hear from you.
// Applications are reviewed personally during beta. Crew profiles are never passed to a yacht without your consent.
