YACHT TALENT
// For crew

Build your profile once. Properly.

This is longer than the form on most agency sites, and that is deliberate. Dates, vessel sizes and certificate expiries are what let us put you in front of a captain with evidence attached, instead of adding another CV to a folder of four hundred. Fifteen minutes, and you can stop rewriting the same email.

01   Identity & right to work

Right to work is the single heaviest factor in whether we can place you, and the one most often left off a CV. Being straight about it here helps you, not the opposite.

Approximate is fine. Leave blank if you are an EU citizen.
02   The role you want

Choose the department first, then the role list changes to match. If you are open to more than one, pick the one you would take tomorrow and say the rest in section 07.

03   Sea service

Most recent first. This is the section that decides your score, because months here are computed from your dates rather than taken from “years in the industry”. Engagements under four weeks are counted as daywork, which is still worth listing. It just doesn't accrue as sea time.

04   Certificates

Tick what you hold and add the expiry date. An expired ticket listed honestly costs you far less than a current one we cannot verify.

Asked because boats ask. It is never used to score you.

06   Evidence

Please attach a real file. Drive links and photographs of a printed CV are the two things that most often stop us being able to read an application at all.

Referees

“References on request” scores zero with us. Two named referees with rank and a working number is one of the fastest ways to move up a band. We do not contact anyone without ticking the box, and never your current employer without asking you first.

07   In your own words

The part most agencies do not read. We do, and it is often where the best candidates separate themselves from the best written applications.
